Victoria Pedretti

There is a woman that has starred in several Netflix series, notably horror series around the end of the 2010s. If you ever saw an actress screaming while getting murdered or some shit, then you fucking came across the acting stylings of Victoria Pedretti! She’s hot as fuck, too, don’t you think?!

You know she is! But there is more to her than just a gorgeous smile. See what else there is behind the alluring face of Victoria Pedretti here on ThePornDude, and learn all that you need to know about her!

First years of Victoria Pedretti

Victoria Pedretti was born on March 1995 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Though it’s unclear if she was interested in acting from a young age, by the time she was in high school, she knew it was what she wanted to do with her life.

“I remember being in high school, not getting into the musical, being like, ‘Okay, well I guess I’ll do theater then,’ she said in an interview with Collider in 2020. “Boring, you know? There’s no song and dance! Where’s all the fun? Anyway, [I] ended up loving it and having the opportunity to do things where people came up to me afterwards and they were like, ‘That affected me.’ And I was like, ‘Shit, really?’ And that’s a really great feeling, you know? Being able to make that kind of impact, so it’s kind of addictive at that point.”

From there, she attended Carnegie Melon School of Drama in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While there, though, her professors told her that pursuing acting was a colossal waste of time. Fortunately, she didn’t listen to them. Immediately after graduating college, Victoria Pedretti began her career as an actor.

Victoria Pedretti begins acting

“About three months after I graduated college, I moved to New York [City] and I was just auditioning all the time,” said Victoria Pedretti in the same interview. Right away, she was finding that she was onto something. Her auditions, even when they weren’t successful, was really giving her hope.

“I was getting close already, pretty early on to roles that I ultimately didn’t get but I was like, ‘Damn, this is feeling good. Something’s working. People are responding.’ Again, I’m getting feedback. People are responding to it. Then, I’m like, ‘Okay, let’s just keep it going.”

Within just a few months of moving to New York City, Victoria Pedretti began to make headways to her first role. Pretty soon, she met with a producer that was overseeing a Netflix project. Thanks to this meeting, she’d star in one of Netflix’s hottest television series up to that point.

Victoria Pedretti’s breakout role

Victoria Pedretti had her breakout role in the Netflix original series The Haunting of Hill House. A reimagining of the 1959 film The Haunting of Hill House, this modernizes the concept and brings it into the 21st century. Which is a good thing considering I don’t think anyone would relate to the fucking old as balls novel!

The Haunting of Hill House (the Netflix adaptation) features a group of siblings who grew up in a home that ended up becoming the most famous haunted house in the United States. They have to come back to the home and essentially face their demons together. It’s much fucking scarier than it sounds.

This isn’t some coming-of-age story about siblings ‘finding themselves’ or any kind of shit like that. It’s a slow ride, and it eventually becomes a horror story that’s terrifying you before you even know what happened! And Victoria Pedretti led the way from the beginning to the very end of the series, showcasing her amazing acting chops and proving beyond of shadow of a doubt that she was the right role for The Haunting of Hill House.

This led to her instantly getting cast as one of the scream queens of the 21st century. It’s a role that set up the trajectory for the bulk of her career. And it also led to a direct sequel: The Haunting of Bly Manor.

The second season of what had now become Netflix’s ‘The Haunting’ anthology followed the events of the 1898 novella The Turn of the Screw. Much of the same cast made a return for the second season, including Victoria Pedretti. This seems obvious since she was the star of the first season, and she certainly shines in the second season.

It involves an au pair arriving in the United Kingdom for two children living at Bly Manor. Little does the au pair know that the manor is haunted. Thus, the au pair begins seeing haunts and frights that are just as scary as the first season.

Once again, the season goes slow and consumes the viewer with fear. Victoria Pedretti’s performance was once again heralded as breathtaking. This further concreted her as one of the horror queens to watch coming into the 2020s.

She didn’t just star in horror films, though. Victoria Pedretti was featured in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, where she was nominated for several awards. That’s pretty goddamn awesome for only acting for five years!

Victoria Pedretti also starred in the series You for the second and third seasons (she guest starred in the fourth season). Victoria Pedretti was getting regular work, and it’s a trend that would continue as she entered the 2020s. Even though there was a Pandemic brewing, it didn’t slow down her career!

Victoria Pedretti’s continued success

Though Victoria Pedretti wrapped up You in 2023, she was still hard at work on other projects during this time. Interestingly, she was attached to a film that was historically linked to her first season role in The Haunting of Hill House. What the fuck am I getting at? Just be patient, bitch!

Victoria Pedretti starred in the film Shirley in 2020. It’s a film based on the American author Shirley Jackson during the time she was writing her second novel, Hangsaman. If you have been paying attention, you’ll remember that Shirley Jackson is the name of the author who wrote The Haunting of Hill House.

It was a pretty damn good movie, Victoria Pedretti stood out amongst the talented cast. A few years later, Victoria Pedretti starred in the film Origin. The film was based on author Isabel Wilkerson’s journey to writing the 2020 book Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents. The film has Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor (who portrayed Isabel Wilkerson) traveling to different countries and exploring caste systems.

The film was a fucking bomb as it barely made any goddamn money. You really had to know what you were watching to even want to go out and see it in the first place. Still, the critics hailed it as pretty damn good!

Victoria Pedretti found better success the following year with Ponyboi. Victoria Pedretti played a character named Angel: the best friend of the protagonist, Ponyboi. Ponyboi is an intersex prostitute – and that’s the least of his problems! When a drug deal goes bad, Ponyboi has to get the fuck out and escape their clutches!

The film was a goddamn success. It got all kinds of rave reviews. It’s all thanks to the lead actor, River Gallo, and the beautiful Victoria Pedretti!

Victoria Pedretti hits Broadway

After a hell of an awesome run in television series and films, Victoria Pedretti decided to do something a bit different. She went to Broadway and starred in the revival of the play An Enemy of the People. It was a fucking hit, and was nominated for five Tony Awards in 2024.

Victoria Pedretti wasn’t nominated for any of the awards, but she was captivating nonetheless. She played Petra Stockmann: the daughter of protagonists Doctor Thomas Stockmann and his wife, Katherine Stockmann.
