I’m educating your horny ass so you can appreciate what makes Tia Carrere more than just a fucking sexy piece of ass. So stay here on ThePornDude, and learn all that you need to know about where Tia Carrere comes from and where she may be going! First, let’s see where Tia Carrere is from.

Tia Carrere grows up in Hawaii

Tia Carrere was born the day after New Year in 1967. That must mean she’s special or something, right? She’s a special kind of sex-ay, am I right?!

Of course I fucking am! Tia Carrere was born in the largest city of Hawaii. She is of Filipino descent, where she lived around her father, mother, and grandmother. She was enrolled at a Catholic school, and at the age of 13, her parents and two younger sisters left Hawaii for Samoa, leaving Tia Carrere with her grandmother.

Her family left her behind because they thought she would get a better education in Hawaii. While in Samoa for her father’s banking job, the family was planning to earn a sizeable income that would benefit the entire family. However, her family eventually moved back to Honolulu, Hawaii, but without her father.

“Everything was all blown up,” said Tia Carrere in an interview with VICE in 2020. “It was a sad and very dark time. It wasn’t what it was before.”

Still, Tia Carrere tried to achieve her dreams. At the age of 18, she auditioned for the popular show Star Search, but was eliminated in the first round in 1985. She was no doubt upset about it, and probably wondered what in the hell she was going to do. But, while working at a grocery store in her neighborhood, her life would change forever.

Tia Carrere gets discovered

While working in a grocery store, a producer was in the area trying to get a film shot called Aloha Summer. He needed talent, and he found Tia Carrere. When it seemed that her singing career might not pan out, another opportunity in entertainment presented itself.

“I’d never done any acting before,” said Tia Carrere in her interview with VICE. “But I went in and I made pretend doing the shy local Hawaiian girl falling all over the Caucasian Casanova. That changed the trajectory of my life.”

She moved to Los Angeles, California, USA when she was just 17 years old. Coming along with her was a “boyfriend” several decades older than her who decided to act as her manager. Within a few months of landing in Los Angeles, she posed for several modeling ads, became a regular on the soap opera drama General Hospital, and appeared in various television series like MacGyver.

But by the end of the year, the “boyfriend” had stolen all of her money – over $150,000 worth.

But thanks to the generosity of a modeling agent, she was allowed to sleep in the hallway of the modeling offices until she was able to get her own place. That time would come soon enough, as Tia Carrere continued to earn small roles in films and television throughout the late 80s and early 90s.

Tia Carrere’s big break

Tia Carrere was having awesome success around 1991. She was about to have an audition on the up-and-coming show Baywatch (which would become a ratings juggernaut later on), but a film script came by her that immediately stood out. She felt like this was a role meant for her, and it could very well change her life.

“I remember going, ‘Oh my god, this is the part that can change my life,” said Tia Carrere in her 2020 interview with VICE. “And I can think of no one else that can do the acting and the singing and the rocking. But I can.”

That film was the cult classic Wayne’s World: a film based on the popular SNL skit. Starring Mike Myers and Dana Carvey as dumb fucks Wayne and Garth respectively, Tia Carrere starred as Wayne’s rocker girlfriend. There, she was able to portray her screen singing abilities, her on-screen presence, and her acting abilities all rolled into one.

This led to Tia Carrere starring in a sequel, Wayne’s World 2, and a variety of action movies throughout the early-to-mid 1990s. But, most importantly as a personal achievement for Tia Carrere, her role on the Wayne’s World films allowed her to branch out into a career as a singer and songwriter.

Tia Carrere’s gets a record deal

In 1993, Tia Carrere released her first album, Dream. It was a huge hit in the Philippines and managed to go platinum. She even sang the ending theme of the film Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, which was a huge fucking deal. Close to 15 years later, Tia Carrere released a Hawaiian-focused album, Hawaiiana and won a Best Hawaiian Music Album Grammy for it. In 2009 and 2010, respectively, she released two more Hawaiian albums: ‘Ikena and He Nani.

Tia Carrere’s other big break

Tia Carrere was rightfully called one of the sexiest women alive in the early 90s. And while she was featured as the sexy Asian American bad ass in all kinds of films throughout the 90s, she began to branch out into other roles. Most notably as a voice actor.

This led to arguably her most iconic role to date: Nani in the Disney film Lilo & Stitch (2002). She played the voice on every straight-to-video sequel as well, and even portrays Mrs. Kekoa in the live action version of Lilo & Stich (2005). Over the years, she has even played voices in video games, such as Lin in Saints Row.
