Jennifer Jason Leigh

If you’ve ever watched a teen comedy from the 80s, then chances are, you’ve probably seen Jennifer Jason Leigh in a film or three. And dare I say, she’s been in some of the most iconic films of that decade. But don’t think she stopped being a star just in the 80s!

Jennifer Jason Leigh has had a hell of a career – and she’s not done yet! But before you learn all about the talented (and sexy as hell, might I add) Jennifer Jason Leigh, let’s take a look at her origin story. Keep it here on ThePornDude, and together, let’s learn all about this hot piece of ass that’s still someone you’d want to fuck!

Jennifer Jason Leigh’s early days

Jennifer Jason Leigh was born in Los Angeles, California, USA, in February 1962. She was born into the entertainment industry, not only because of her location, but because her parents were active in it. Her father, the actor Vic Morrow, and her mother, screenwriter Barbara Turner, were both active for decades in the entertainment industry. And though the two divorced when Jennifer Jason Leigh was only two years old, she nonetheless got a fever for acting.

Jennifer Jason Leigh isn’t her original name. Did you fucking know that? I bet you didn’t!

Her original name is ‘Jennifer Leigh Morrow.’ She originally acted with this name (more on her acting in a moment), but she changed it to Jennifer Jason Leigh in honor of the late actor Jason Robards, a family friend. It’s unclear why she changed the name, but having the middle name of ‘Jason’ for a beautiful goddess like Jennifer Jason Leigh way back in the 80s made her stand out, so it worked out for the best.

So what kinds of roles did Jennifer Jason Leigh get early on in her career? It all started way back in 1973 when she was just 11 years old. From there, Jennifer Jason Leigh was off to having a lifelong career that would span six decades and counting!

Jennifer Jason Leigh’s first roles

Jennifer Jason Leigh appeared in the film Death of a Stranger (The Execution). She had a nonspeaking role, but it was enough to get her into several acting workshops a few years later. Including the renowned Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Training Center in New York at just 14 years old.

Specifically her experience at the Stagedoor, Jennifer Jason Leigh earned a role in the film The Young Runaways in 1978. This led to her making a series of television appearances throughout the rest of the 70s into the early 80s, including an anorexic teen in the television film The Best Little Girl in the World. Jennifer Jason Leigh had to drop a fuck ton of weight for the role, showcasing her dedication to her craft at such an early age.

That same year, Jennifer Jason Leigh made the transition from television episodes and films to the big screen by appearing in the slasher horror flick Eyes of a Stranger, where she plays a rape victim that’s deaf, blind, and mute. She had to memorize the least lines of any of the cast members. Gee, I wonder why?!

The next year, Jennifer Jason Leigh became an on-screen sensation with her appearance in the teen classic Fast Times at Ridgemont High. It stands out as the beginning of multiple careers for famous actors, including Sean Penn. And though Jennifer Jason Leigh would experience her best success to date early on thanks to Fast Times at Ridgemont High, the celebrating would soon come to an abrupt stop.

Jennifer Jason Leigh’s triumph and tragedy

Jennifer Jason Leigh has unfortunately experienced some tragedy in her life, including right around the time she became a heartthrob thanks to Fast Times at Ridgemont High. In 1982, her father was an actor in the film Twilight Zone: The Movie. It’s a film that is synonymous with experiencing a series of god-awful accidents, and Jennifer Jason Leigh’s father was one of its victims.

During filming, her father Vic Morrow was involved in a helicopter crash that killed him and two child actors below the helicopter. It led to an intense legal battle that lasted for much of the 80s, and became one of the most infamous Hollywood accidental deaths in history. It led to Twilight Zone: The Movie referred to as a ‘cursed movie.’

Jennifer Jason Leigh gets the spotlight

Though Jennifer Jason Leigh portrayed helpless characters for much of the 80s, it was the 90s when she began to gain more bold lead roles. Beginning with 1990’s Last Exit to Brooklyn, Jennifer Jason Leigh played tough prostitute Tralala that got a ‘best picture’ nod by critics. She’d go on to have even more success two years later with a surprise box office smash.

Jennifer Jason Leigh starred in Single White Female, where she played a mentally challenged woman who absolutely lead actress Bridget Fonda’s character go through living hell. It was Jennifer Jason Leigh’s biggest and best role to date, and it even won her a 1993 MTV Movie Award for ‘Best Villain.’ It really showed the world what kind of raw roles Jennifer Jason Leigh wasn’t afraid to touch.

Jennifer Jason Leigh finds success in the 90s

Her ability to tackle challenging, uncomfortable roles made Jennifer Jason Leigh one of the go-to actresses when it came to roles that pushed the proverbial envelope. This led to Jennifer Jason Leigh getting cast in one of the most infamous roles of her career: Georgia. Though the movie doesn’t sound like much of fucking anything, Jennifer Jason Leigh delivered a powerful performance that made the industry take notice.

She played a punk rock singer battling addiction, with a long, drawn-out rendition of a Van Morrison song that’s fucking uncomfortable to watch. It’s still one of her most memorable films to date. Jennifer Jason Leigh continued to have success, including David Cronenberg’s 1999 film eXistenZ.

Jennifer Jason Leigh’s career longevity

Jennifer Jason Leigh entered the 2000s by starring in the gangster classic Road to Perdition, as well as an evil child star mother in Childstar. She’d find some of her best success in the 2010s, most notably in Quentin Tarantino’s western flick The Hateful Eight. She also appeared in the reboot of the series Twin Peaks.
