Christy Carlson Romano

You remember the sister on the Disney Channel sitcom Even Stevens? Well, she’s fucking over 40 now if you can believe that shit. But also, she’s hot as hell now!

Her name is Christy Carlson Romano, and she’s not just another child star that fucked their shit up, either. She has created one hell of a media empire, and I’m here to tell you all about it on ThePornDude! But first, let’s look at Christy Carlson Romano’s early life.

Christy Carlson Romano’s early life

Christy Carlson Romano was born in Milford, Connecticut, USA on March 1984. She is the youngest of four children, and from a very early age was what she referred to as a ‘theatre kid.’ Here’s how Christy Carlson Romano put it in her own words:

“I became that precocious theater kid,” wrote Christy Carlson Romano in a 2019 essay for Teen Vogue. “A confusing mix of sheltered and overexposed to the public. It came with the territory of being a young performer.”

Christy Carlson Romano was indeed a young performer, beginning at just the age of six. She was immediately thrust into the spotlight by debuting in a slew of regional and national productions, such as Annie, The Sound of Music, and The Will Rogers Follies. She even got to perform alongside the legendary Marie Osmond as a child – what the fuck!

When she was 12, Christy Carlson Romano made her on-screen debut in the romantic comedy musical Everyone Says I Love You. A year later in 1997, she appeared in the film Henry Fool. The following year, Christy Carlson Romano premiered on Broadway in the musical Parade.

Christy Carlson Romano kept the momentum going by performing in an off-Broadway production of Stars in Your Eyes. That same year, Christy Carlson Romano appeared in an episode of the soap opera Guiding Light. It was canceled 10 years later, though that had nothing to do with Christy Carlson Romano – it was merely an outdated show!

Christy Carlson Romano wrapped up the end of the millennium on a high note. Though, her most prominent role to date was about to come her way. And nothing would prepare her for what would come next!

Christy Carlson Romano’s iconic role

In 2000, Christy Carlson Romano was cast as Ren Steven in the Disney Channel sitcom Even Stevens. Following the Stevens’ family in a California suburb, it featured Christy Carlson Romano’s character and Louis Steven constantly getting into arguments and trouble. Louis Steven was played by a young Shia LaBeouf at the time, and was the show’s standout star.

The show lasted for three seasons until it hit Disney’s 65-episode limit it had instituted at the time. Following the series’ cancellation, The Even Stevens Movie was released, acting as the absolute finale of the series in 2003. It was a resounding success, and is regarded as a nostalgic hallmark of many younger Millennials. Even Stevens was also one of the Disney Channel’s most successful shows, being nominated for seven awards at the Daytime Emmy Awards alone.

During her time on Even Stevens, Christy Carlson Romano also starred in the Disney Channel original films Campus Confidential and Cadet Kelly as a hard-ass drill instructor at a boot camp attended by ‘Kelly’ played by Hilary Duff. Additionally, she voiced the main character of ‘Kim Possible’ in the animated series Kim Possible. The series led to two spin-off films: Kim Possible: So the Drama and Kim Possible: A Sitch in Time.

Christy Carlson Romano returns to theatre

After the end of Even Stevens and Kim Possible, Christy Carlson Romano’s acting gigs began to dry up. She went back to the theatre by playing Belle in Beauty and the Beast on Broadway in 2004. The following year, she reprised her role in the Atlanta Fox Theatre’s production of Beauty and the Beast as well.

These roles earned her a few roles in several ABC Family original movies. Most notably The Cutting Edge: Going for the Gold and The Cutting Edge: Chasing the Dream where she portrayed a competitive ice skater. Throughout the rest of the decade, Christy Carlson Romano starred in various off-Broadway productions and one-off appearances on shows such as Hawthorne and Joan of Arcadia.

Christy Carlson Romano grapples with her demons

Though Christy Carlson Romano found some success after Even Stevens, the end of the show spelled the beginning of a downward spiral that would take years to course-correct. She tried going to college at an Ivy League school, but quickly dropped out to play Belle on Broadway. But after doing so, her life began to fall apart.

“I became a bit harder-edged, binge-drank more at loud nightclubs, and started to accept the transient natures of love, sex, and friendship,” wrote Christy Carlson Romano in her Teen Vogue essay. “Then I began to flirt with other methods of self-destruction. I tried to scratch my skin with my fingernail because I was too scared to use a knife.”

Christy Carlson Romano’s spiral continued. So much so to the point that she paid a psychic an exorbitant amount of money on a crystal. Before she realized she had been conned, it was too late. She reported the incident but was told to keep it to herself if she didn’t want the con to go public.

Embarrassed, Christy Carlson Romano decided to speak out against the vulnerabilities of child stars. In fact, it’s specifically one of the reasons why she penned the Teen Vogue essay my fine ass has been referencing this entire time! That’s right, fuck face!

“It’s hard for people to understand that oftentimes child actors appear to have an inflated ego to make up for the fact that they have no idea who they really are underneath it all,” wrote Christy Carlson Romano in the Teen Vogue essay. “I struggled with all of my relationships, alcohol usage, and career path for ten years before going back to school and re-centering myself.

Going back to school for Christy Carlson Romano involved taking a screenwriting class. That’s where she met her husband: a military man who also struggled during adolescence. It led to the two getting married and starting a family together, and Christy Carlson Romano’s newest and most lucrative venture to date.

What’s next for Christy Carlson Romano?

After reclaiming her life as her own, Christy Carlson Romano began to tackle projects that appealed to her. That included a YouTube series called Christy’s Kitchen Throwback, and her podcasting empire PodCo. It consists of ‘rewatch’ podcasts of nostalgic children’s shows from the late 90s and 2000s. It has been a resounding success, and has allowed Christy Carlson Romano to work on her own terms, from her own home, with her family.

Though many child stars have risen and fallen in spectacular fashion over the decades, Christy Carlson Romano is proof that there is life beyond the spotlight for these types of actors. The trauma that typically comes from being in the spotlight at such an early age, only to be essentially forgotten at a time when a person is supposed to be figuring themselves out as an adult destroys a lot of lives. But not Christy Carlson Romano!

Fuck no! She took trauma by the balls and made it her bitch. And you want to know something? At 40+ years old, Christy Carlson Romano is fucking FIRE! She doesn’t have to act anymore, but goddamn, I’d love to see that delicious body on the screen again!
