There aren't many Iranian actresses I know, but when I saw Golshifteh Farahani, I couldn't remember where I saw her. Well, it took me a minute to recognize her, and once I did, everything was clear. She's an Iranian French actress who first caught my eye in the movie Extraction. That's probably one of the best movies I've watched in a while, and she played a pretty important role in it!

Goldshifteh was born on 10 July 1983 in Tehran Iran, and she's the daughter of Bezad Farahani, a director and actor, and Fahimen Rahim Nia, who's just her mother. AS you probably know, women don't often work in Muslim countries, so there's no surprise there.

She has a sister, but there's one thing they have in common that's interesting. They're both actresses. It's funny that both siblings decided to do the same thing, and it's so good for them. Anyway, her name is Shaghayegh Farahani, which might be hard to remember because, to me, it just looks like a bunch of letters in a random order.

I know that her name sounds strange to you, but there's a meaning behind it. So, her father came up with it, and the translation of her name is ""loving flower."" Her legal name is Rahavard, and that word means ""gift of the road."" I'm not sure why they decided to go with that name, but one thing that comes to my mind was that her parents fucked on the road in the middle of nowhere when they conceived her.

Ever since she was a kid, she was interested in music. She started studying music and piano when she was just 5 years old, and later, she entered the music school in Tehran. Once she got a bit older, she joined the cast as the lead role in Dariush Mehrjui's The Pear Tree. She won the Crystal Roc for the Best Actress from the International Section of the 16th Fajr International Festival in Tehran with this role!

As I have already told you, she was born in Iran, and stayed there while she was younger. However, once she got older, and started traveling, especially after becoming an actress, something happened that changed her life forever.

So, the rules are pretty strict in Iran. Women basically don't get to do much. They have to listen to men, which is the reason why the Iranian government or people get pissed off. She started working in Hollywood, and once that started happening, people back home saw Golshifteh Farahani without a hijab. Well, because of that, she couldn't go back home, so she had to stay in France.

I have no idea what's the big fucking deal with hijab and women hiding their faces and bodies, but I guess that's just how they do things in Iran and many other Muslim countries. Well, since that chapter of her life is over, she can just forget about the fucked up rules and live her life.

I can see that she made quite a lot of movies and not that many series. Actually, she appears in just 2 series, and I'm not sure if you've even heard about those things. So, there's the VTC from 2021. She played the role of Nora for 5 episodes, but I'm not sure what the fuck that thing is because there's no information about the series online.

The other series she made is ongoing, and she got the main role as well. This time, she made 10 episodes, but since the show is still not done, she might make more in the future. I don't want to make any promises because I don't know if that's true or not.

As far as her movies go, you'll find a ton of stuff. The first thing she made was The Pear Tree in 1998. She was still a teen when she started acting, but that was just her beginning. Over the next 10 years, she got to play roles in around 10 different movies, but they don't seem to be popular. I couldn't even find information about those movies, so they're either short films or something else.

The truth is that I haven't really watched much of her stuff, but I did watch 2 movies, and they were fucking amazing. Obviously, I'm talking about the Extraction, and the sequel Extraction 2. These 2 movies are simply masterpieces, and if you haven't watched them, I'm going to spoil them for you!

She speaks more than 1 language

While I was watching Extraction, I heard her speaking French and English. I didn't hear her speaking Arabic, but since she lived in Iran for quite a while, I know for a fact that she speaks that language as well. I wouldn't be surprised if she knew even more languages, but I won't guess whether that's true or not.

Anyway, it's finally time to talk about those 2 movies she's so famous for. Even though Chris Hemsworth was the main actor in those movies, people also noticed Golshifteh. She was there alongside him during his best and worst moments, and to be honest, she looked kind of sexy with all that combat gear.

You'll get to see her running around, shooting, and doing much more. She's not one of the girls I'd consider to be mind-blowing, but she looks sexy. I prefer her with longer hair, but in these 2 movies, she had shorter hair. I guess that won't make much difference to most of you.

Since she's Iranian, she had to abide by certain rules there, but once she started working in Hollywood, she stopped wearing hijab, which made the government of Iran forbid her from returning home. Since then, she moved to France and has been making movies in Europe and the USA. She made a couple dozen movies and just 2 series, so if you're looking for something that's binge-worthy watching, you won't have much luck. You'll just have to watch her movies or maybe look for those nude scenes she made where you get to see her small boobs.
